Zanzibar can be sold at many price levels, but the accommodation on this guide is deliberately focused on the boutique, premium and luxury properties Tourgy Tourz currently recommends. The rate tables below are designed to help you decide whether the trip fits your budget before we start a detailed quotation.

How to read this guide: published figures are indicative Tourgy Tourz selling prices in USD. Accommodation rates are subject to availability, travel dates, occupancy and supplier changes. Flights are not included unless a package specifically says so. Zanzibar infrastructure levies and certain festive supplements may be payable separately. Your final quotation will always confirm the exact inclusions and total.

Stone Town works beautifully for the first one or two nights of a Zanzibar holiday. It gives you easy access to the old city, markets, spice experiences, Prison Island and the waterfront before moving to the beach.

Getting around

Airport and hotel transfers

Zanzibar distances matter. Stone Town is close to the airport, while the north, east and south coasts require longer transfers. We arrange private transfers around the itinerary rather than leaving clients to negotiate transport after arrival.

Airport → Stone Town

Approximately 15 minutes under normal conditions. Ideal for starting with a Stone Town night before the beach.

Airport → North / East Coast

Allow roughly 1 hour 25 minutes depending on hotel location, traffic and road conditions.

North → South Coast

Cross-island movements can take around two hours. This is why we plan hotel combinations carefully rather than moving every night.

Safari + beach

Zanzibar does not have to be a standalone holiday
