Skukuza Airport Pickup
Skukuza Airport is usually the most convenient fly-in option for a premium Kruger safari. It places guests much closer to the safari region and keeps the arrival day smoother, especially for travellers who want to land, transfer to the lodge and still have time for their first afternoon game drive where possible.

Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport Pickup
Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, also known as KMIA or MQP, is a strong alternative when flight availability, routing or pricing works better. It is a longer transfer than Skukuza, but still a practical fly-in route for guests travelling from Johannesburg, Cape Town or connecting internationally.

Suggested Safari Itinerary
The exact flow depends on flight landing time, transfer timing and seasonal game drive schedules.
2 Nights / 3 Days
Day 1: Fly into Kruger and transfer to the lodge
Arrive at Skukuza Airport or Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, meet your transfer driver and continue to Umkumbe Bush Lodge. Depending on arrival time, settle in and enjoy your first afternoon game drive followed by dinner at the lodge.
Day 2: Full safari day in the bush
Start before sunrise with coffee and a morning game drive. Return for breakfast and time to relax at the lodge. In the late afternoon, head out again for another game drive and sundowner stop before dinner.
Day 3: Final morning and departure
Enjoy a final early morning game drive if timing allows, followed by breakfast and check-out. Transfer back to your chosen airport for onward flights.
3 Nights / 4 Days
Day 1: Arrival and first safari drive
Fly into Skukuza or KMIA and transfer to Umkumbe Bush Lodge. After check-in, enjoy the lodge atmosphere and join your first afternoon game drive where possible.
Day 2: Morning and afternoon game drives
Spend a full day in safari rhythm: early morning tracking, breakfast, lodge relaxation, lunch, afternoon tea and a late afternoon game drive into evening.
Day 3: More time for sightings
The third night gives you more chances for memorable wildlife encounters. Enjoy another two game drives and optional extras such as a bushwalk or special dinner, subject to availability and additional cost.
Day 4: Departure
After your final morning activity and breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
